Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance (RCCA)
Dedicated to keeping Rappahannock County scenic and rural, RCCA educates the community about the value of conservation easements and land conservation. RCCA holds myriad public events, such as tax credit seminars and informational gatherings for prospective easement donors to help landowners make informed decisions about long-term options for their land.

Rappahannock County Lions Club
"The Power of Organized Good." For 51 years, the Lions Club has been the predominant community service organization in the county. The club’s fund-raising efforts help finance a wide range of scholarships and community programs, and its volunteer efforts are felt throughout the county. By using the Lions website, citizens are able to shop at Amazon.com and other stores, knowing that a portion of their purchases come back to the county and are donated in total to the local fire and rescue squads. The Lions meet at the Sperryville Fire Hall at 6:30 pm on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month. Information on joining the Club is available at the Lions website. Jim Blubaugh, President

Rappahannock Friends and Lovers of Our Watersheds (RappFLOW)
RappFLOW volunteers help to preserve, protect, conserve and restore water resources and watersheds in the county. They monitor the quality of water in streams and ponds, learn best practices for managing land to protect and conserve storm water, help to educate landowners and assist local government in protecting watersheds. Meetings are open to everyone, the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm at The Link in Sperryville, Va.

Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection (RLEP)
RLEP strives for environmental protection of open space and the rural character of Rappahannock County and the preservation of natural and historic places, wildlife, ecosystems and farm economy. In addition, RLEP provides information and education on environmental issues and assists the community planning efforts of local governmental bodies.

RAWL Mutt, Mix & Mingle
We hope you'll join us in the backyard on the patio for the next Mutt, Mix & Mingle Fundraiser to benefit the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League (RAWL). This time it's a barbecue; burgers, hot dogs, veggie burgers and all of the trimmings! Our pet menu will also be available! Certain wines will be offered at the outside bar for a special price of $4/glass, with $1/glass donated to RAWL. Bring a blanket to relax in the yard if you like. Carole Pivarnik will be signing copies of her book, DOGGITUDE, featuring watercolor sketches of expressive dogs and funny haikus. There will also be a door prize for one lucky winner!
Rates: $20 per person, good dogs on leashes get in for free!
